 Hard or Soft?


Global demand for both soft and hard commodities is on the rise and supply is struggling to keep up. However, from an investor point of view, commodities can be divided broadly into two camps: any commodities that can be grown or raised i.e. wheat, rice, sugar, cattle etc. are soft commodities. Whereas anything that have to be mined or drilled such as oil, gas, gold, copper, silver etc. are hard commodities.
